Dwight Pettee Colburn was born in the United States in 1901 and graduated from Yale University and Harvard Business Graduate School. In 1968, he visited Korea as a missionary to the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. Director Howard Moffett invited people who wanted to live successfully in the United States personally and live a more rewarding life after retirement to live a life of hospital service.
The missionary who came from the invitation of Director Howard Moffett was Colburn. He was a lawyer, bank president and civic activist, a new accounting law, a stock investment management expert. From 1968 to 1970, he was in charge of affairs and administration at Dongsan Christian Hospital and worked hard to transfer advanced administration to hospitals.
