Paul Park, who was called Park Hee-Yang, was a third-generation Korean-American who studied in the United States for 10 years and married a Korean woman. Even though he had American nationality, he always wanted to think about Korea.
Park Hee-Yang graduated from White World College in the U.S. with a master's degree in pathology from Decannes Hospital in the U.S. and a Ph.D. in pathology from Louisiana State University. After that, he worked in the pathology class of North Carolina State University and as the director of the pathology department at St. Francis Hospital.
In 1958, at the invitation of Director Howard Moffett, he was appointed as deputy director of the inspection office at Dongsan Christian Hospital. And he became the vice principal of the Pathological Technology School. Park taught his students hematology, biochemistry, and bacteriology. And in 1959, Park Hee-Yang became the principal of the 2nd Pathological Technology School.
He operated Donor's Station for a smooth supply of blood and was closed after the blood donation system was established in 1982. As a result of these efforts, all graduates of Dongsan Christian Hospital passed the first national clinical pathology engineer qualification test in April 1965, and in September 1973, Dongsan Christian Hospital's pathology technology school was renamed Daegu Dongsan Christian Hospital's pathology engineer training center..
The Pathological Technology School, which opened in July 1958, had 200 students graduated until it closed in June 1992, and was recognized for its excellent skills and knowledge not only in Korea but also in overseas countries such as the U.S. and Canada. Until these results, Park Hee-Yang generously devoted all his energy, all his passion, and dedication.

Park Hee-Yang had a mission and a clear purpose that God gave him during the twilight of his life. The first was to do daily service as an English teacher and a family counselor, and the second was to save his private wealth through an American securities company and build houses for the poor.
He confessed his mission as follows:
People without vision are doomed. In Nehemiah 2:17-18, as God have given us the heart to build a new Jerusalem wall through Nehemiah, I ask myself the tragedy of the ruined city. "Does God have a vision for us today? Isn't there a wall that I should build?" God will give us a vision and a desire to build, so that people will live, not perish.
Park Hee-Yang served as a pathologist and an English teacher at Pohang Sunrin Hospital for four years and taught English at a university in Gyeonggi Province. He underwent heart surgery in the U.S. in the winter of 1997, but suffered from aftereffects for about two months and was called by God in January 1998 at the age of 70.
