In 1955, David Macmacon completed a clinical examination class at the Antoniofurok Central Medical Center in Texas. In 1955, he worked in the clinical laboratory of the U.S. Far East Air Force Hospital, and in 1958, he visited Korea and worked as a pathologist in the laboratory of Dongsan Christian Hospital.
On July 10, 1958, the Pathological Technology School affiliated with Dongsan Christian Hospital in Daegu was opened, and Macmacon taught students at the Pathological Technology School by combining them as teachers' heads and professors. The subjects he taught were urinary examination, blood bank, and serology.
