In 1909, Nurse Cameron resigned, and Nurse Mary Mackenzie came to replace her. Mackenzie was the second full-time nurse to come to the Jejungwon after Cameron. She was sent to Korean female Missionary at the Northern Presbyterian U.S.A.

Missionary Fletcher, who was appointed to Andong in November 1909, soon fell ill with a serious illness. At this time, when Dr. W. C. Puriance of the Cheongju Missionary Branch was dispatched to treat Fletcher, she also arrived in Andong after a difficult three-day journey as a nurse and took care of Fletcher. Immediately with medical treatment, Fletcher's condition improved. In 1910, the following year, she also resigned as a missionary and returned to Canada due to poor health. After returning home, she married T. E. Neel.
